Showcasing Progress: Moonee Valley Council's Budget Initiatives

Client:

Moonee Valley City Council

Project:

Each year, the Council adopts a new budget that outlines various projects, initiatives, and activities for the upcoming year. To promote the key initiatives for the current year to the community, Artificial Studios was commissioned to produce videos showcasing three main projects:

•   Clifton Park Pavilion Upgrade and Cricket Net

•   Redevelopment of the Ascot Vale Library

•   Steele Creek Redevelopment

•   Green Spine Linear Park Redevelopment

Councillors were invited to participate in these videos, interacting with the spaces and key community groups. The videos were intended for the Council’s corporate social media channels and for the Councillors' personal social accounts.

Deliverables:

•   3 x 30-second videos in 1080 x 1080 vertical format

•   1 x 1.5-minute video in 16:9 aspect ratio (a compilation of the three shorter videos)

•   Retouched low and high resolution images for print and social media

The videos featured candid interactions with the spaces and community groups, using an organic style that was not overly polished.  A voice-over was added in post-production. The intended audience for these videos was the community, accessed through social media and the Council’s website.

The videos aimed to highlight the Council’s key projects to the community and showcase the Councillors' involvement and engagement.
