CLIENT
Moonee Valley City Council

PURPOSE
Moonee Valley City Council sought to create a series of videos summarizing their Disability Action Plan for 2024-2025. The purpose of these videos was to produce accessible, inclusive content that could be used across social media, presentations, and the Moonee Valley website.

The content needed to be highly inclusive, ensuring it was accessible to individuals with disabilities, particularly those who are neurodivergent, while also accommodating non-English speaking community members.

FLEXIBLE APPROACH

  • Collaboration for Accessibility: Throughout the project, Artificial Studios worked closely with Moonee Valley City Council to ensure the video met the highest accessibility standards. We coordinated voiceovers, animation production, and the seamless integration of multilingual translations and Auslan. Thank you to Expression Australia, who provided and recorded the Auslan translator.

  • Seamless Animation and Multilingual Design: The animations were crafted to be both visually engaging and linguistically inclusive. The multilingual translations were thoughtfully integrated into the video, making it accessible to a broader audience.

  • Post-Production and Revisions: Artificial Studios allowed for multiple rounds of edits, ensuring the final deliverables met all of clients’ requirements.

DELIVERABLES

  • 90-Second Extended Animation: A comprehensive video explaining the Disability Action Plan, its development process, and how the community can stay informed about its progress.

  • 30-Second Clip: A condensed version of the extended animation, ideal for quick dissemination on social media.

  • Auslan Message: Integration of Auslan interpretation into the 90-second animation to enhance accessibility for the Deaf community.

  • Multilingual Translations: Incorporation of translations provided by Moonee Valley into Oromo, Chinese, Arabic, and Vietnamese, ensuring the content was accessible to a diverse audience.
